Heat can improve blood circulation and help drain and heal the pus. The warmth can also offer an added comfort. Dip a clean towel in hot water then squeeze out any excess water. Lie down comfortably with the affected eye shut and put the towel over it. Keep the towel on for 4 to 5 minutes. Do it 3 to 4 times a day until the pus comes out. Clear the pus away with care. Repeat doing the process until no discharge is left behind.
That potato sitting in your fridge can also help you out. Potatoes can work as an astringent and reduce inflammation. Clean and grate a medium sized potato. With a muslin cloth, prepare a poultice of the grated potato. Put this on the affected area for 5 to 10 minutes. Do it twice to thrice a day for 4 days.
Turmeric is known for its amazing healing properties and this is also a great remedy to help get rid of your pimple under eye. To use turmeric, just mix 2 cups of water with 1 tablespoon of turmeric. Boil the solution until this reduces to half. Once it cools, use a fine muslin cloth to strain the solution. Use the solution to wash your eyes 2 to 3 times a day.
The natural anti-inflammatory properties of green tea can help reduce pain associated with under an eye pimple. Its tannic acid content can also prevent the infection from spreading. Place a bag of green tea in a cup of warm water. Remove the green tea bag then squeeze out the excess water. Put the bag over the affected area for 5 minutes. You can do this process 3 to 4 times a day until you notice an improvement.
If you have a sty, clove comes in handy thanks to its pain relieving and antibacterial properties. Soak 5 to 6 clove pods in water for 10 minutes. Remove the pods by straining and keep the water. Place a clean cloth in the water infused with clove. Use the cloth to comfort the affected region for several minutes. Continue with the treatment 3 times a day for several days.
A list of home remedies will never be complete if there is no aloe vera gel. You can buy it from the nearest chemist or use fresh gel. It can soothe and help reduce the swelling and redness of your pimple under the eye. Rub the aloe vera gel gently on the affected region. Wait for 20 minutes before you wash the area with lukewarm water. Repeat it three times a day for one week.
